April 21, 2022 – Mercito Gesta (33-3-3) vs. Joel Diaz Jr. (26-3) at the Fantasy Springs Resort and Casino in Indio, CA as the Main Event for Golden Boy Promotions live on DAZN’s Thursday Night Fights.  

Mercito was victorious, winning by UD (96-92, 96-92, 95-93).  Mercito came out strong and put Diaz Jr on the canvas twice in the 1st round.  But Diaz Jr. recovered and the fight lasted all 10 rounds. A great fight between the two warriors!
