Mercito “No Mercy” Gesta and Team Gesta spent the beginning of the new year to help feed the homeless at Father Joe Carroll’s Village in Downtown San Diego, CA. It was a great pleasure for Mercito to give back to the community and help others. Helping others is Mercito’s passion, and loves working with the Community.

Mercito “No Mercy” Gesta and Carlos Morales battled for 6 rounds at the Belasco Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles on Thursday Night, November 14, 2019. They were the Main Event which was broadcast worldwide on DAZN, RingTV.com, and Golden Boy Promotions Facebook page.
Throughout the fight, Mercito was the aggressor and landed several fast combinations both on the body and face of Carlos Morales. Carlos had his moments as well, landing right hooks on Mercito’s face during the middle rounds. Both warriors were pouring their hearts out, however, the fight was stopped after the 6th round due to an accidental head butt. At this time, Mercito was gaining momentum and his rhythm and was ready to continue to showcase his skills in the later rounds.
The scorecards read, 58-56 Morales, and 57-57 on the other two cards, resulting in a Technical Majority Draw.

Mercito “No Mercy” Gesta and Carlos Morales weighed in at the Golden Boy Office in Downtown LA on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 ahead of their Main Event bout live on DAZN, RingTV.com, and Golden Boy Promotions Facebook page.
Mercito came in looking great and strong, weighin in at 133.6, while Carlos Morales weighed in at 135.6. Carlos was given more time to lose the .6lbs, which he did, and officially weighed in at 135.

Filipino boxer Mercito Gesta (left) suffers just the first knockout loss of his career agaisnst Mexico’s Juan Antonio Rodriguez in Hollywood, California.
Filipino boxer Mercito “No Mercy” Gesta was on the wrong end of a knockout as he fell to Mexican Juan Antonio Rodriguez in the ninth round of their ten-round main event bout at The Avalon in Hollywood, California, Friday morning, Manila time.
Gesta and Rodriguez kept the fight close as they went back-and-forth up until the ninth round.
Early in the ninth, Gesta came out more active and aggressive, but it was Rodriguez who managed stagger Gesta late. Rodriguez went on to overwhelm Gesta with body shots until the bout was stopped at the 2:55 mark of the ninth round.
Gesta, who challenged for the WBA Lightweight World Championship against Jorge Linares back in early-2018, suffers just his third career loss, his first by way of knockout. he drops to 32-2-2.
Rodriguez, a former WBA world title contender as well, improves to 29-7 with 26 KOs to his name.
